Our Most Frequently Asked Questions

How does buying beef work?

Step 1. RESERVE: Call, email, or complete the reservation request form to reserve your beef share today.

Step 2: PROCESS: After letting your beef share dry-age to maximize flavor and tenderness, your butcher will contact you to customize your cutting instructions. You will receive processed beef to your personal specifications to fit your use. Check out our helpful order guide and beef cuts pages to find out about your choices.

Step 3. PICK-UP: Get ready to have premium angus beef on demand in your home. Your butcher will call when your beef share is ready for pick-up.

How much will it cost?

Beef shares are sold by their "hanging" weight—the weight of the dry-aged carcass before trimming fat and bone from the meat. Our price to raise and finish a beef will vary, please contact us for our current pricing. As an example, let's take the price per pound of hanging weight to be $2.80. To process or butcher your beef will cost approximately 0.85/lb hanging weight.

Your approximate total cost for half a beef (with a hanging weight of 400 lbs) is $1460. 00, and will yield about 260 lbs of processed beef.
